Ronald Mahn Obituary

Mahn, Ronald E. Dr. Dr. Ronald went peacefully, painlessly and fearlessly, thanks to his faith in Jesus Christ, into Eternal Life on Thursday, February 21, 2013, at the age of 83. Devoted husband to Shirley Ann (nee Wahl), brother to Gary Carleton. He was dad, Scoutmaster, dentist, teacher, mentor and friend to Dr. Thomas H. Mahn (Joan), Dr. Paul R. Mahn (Elaine) and Dr. Daniel Strand Mahn (Amy). Grandpa to Catie, Becca, Andrew, Carolyn, Elsa, Henning, Ben, Gabby and Marcus. Dr. Ron served in the Navy for two years during the Korean War before relocating to his West Allis private dental practice in 1954. He was a Professor at Marquette University School of Dentistry and was an ardent fan of practically every genre of music. He enjoyed spending his final days with his family close at hand. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2013, at: Cornerstone Presbyterian Church N6 W31449 Alberta Drive Delafield, WI 53018 (262) 646-6445 Visitation will be from 9-11AM with memorial service and reception following. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the charity of your choice.

Ron and I met way too late in our careers for me to fully enjoy him. In our short relationship, we really appreciated each other's political and religious positions and saw eye to eye on more issues then either of us would have imagined. And what a teacher! Quite a guy! He will be missed! My condolences to the family.
