Salvatore Lococo Obituary

Lococo, Salvatore Anthony "Sal" Age 60, passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2018. He was born July 9, 1957 in Milwaukee to Anthony and Sandra Lococo and was the oldest of seven siblings. Left to remember his love are his three children, Lisa (Nicholas) Ruiz, Anthony (Jen Stiwell) and Lawrence (Lindsey Miller). His grandchildren, Sofia, Sabrina, Leonardo, Lucciano, Cecilia, Aria, and Cristiano. Beloved brother to Frank (Linda), Peter (Julia), Tony, Larry (Sandy), Sarah (Matthew) Lerner, Abby (Jeremy) Heineck, and Andres (Juliana) Elejalde. Loving uncle to many wonderful nieces and nephews. Also survived by special people dear to him, Nancy Lococo, Roseann Lococo, Susie Lococo, and Juli Smith. Sal and his father owned and operated their world-class barbershop for decades, where the best haircut and entertainment were second to none. Sal lived life through simple pleasures; family, cooking, music (The Beatles), shopping, and his dogs. Per Sal's wishes, a private memorial was held in his honor on Tuesday, February 20. Sal was deeply loved by all and will be greatly missed. If so desired memorials in Sal's name to the Wisconsin Humane Society (www.wihumane.org) appreciated.

I am deeply saddened to hear of both Tony and Sal passing. I moved to Atlanta in 84 and would try to come home just to see them. Tony would always give me a hug and a kiss on the cheek and a great haircut. It meant the world to me to have their friendship. I loved them like they were my family, because they treated me like I was.

Just found this Obit today scrolling for an update.

Met the dynamic duo 30 years ago during a stay at the Sheraton - been a customer ever since.

Sal (and Tony) was a friend, confidant, and my second brother - cutting hair was secondary to the camaraderie and friendship!

He loved his family so much and reveled in the stories.

God bless you all, rest assured the hair in heaven is looking better every day now.

Deepest condolences to the Lococo Family. The brothers are a tight group always supporting eachother. From the days at Dunwood/Stormonth/Bayside School through the years. Whenever I was at the shop Tony, Larry or one of Sal's brothers would call and that would start the talk of all the good middle school times. Sal was a man with a big heart that was a true professional at his craft. Will miss our talks about life and the old days. Three generations of Winters went to Lococo Hairworld-Sal would always find a way to get us in when we called. As much as a great haircut, Sal was a great friend. Sal was a wise man with a big heart. Sal will be missed greatly but we will always have the fond memories. On behalf of my father Michael, my son Jonah, myself, and the Winter Family our sympathy to the family at this difficult time.

I discovered Sal and his Dad from an associate at work when I complimented my friend on his haircut. My first visit was literally a scene out of "Barbershop" Italian version, so the next 20 plus years Sal was my barber whether I worked in Milwaukee or Madison.

Sal was both a barber and a friend....always looked forward to seeing him. and the stories......ha!

I just saw this via a friend and am very saddened. Way too early for a wonderful man. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

Sal and his father were my friends and the greatest barbers for four decades. So sad to learn of his loss. I can only imagine the wild barbershop of heaven now that the dynamic duo are together again. You all know what I mean. Rest in peace, friend.

Our son was a client of Sal throughout the years of grade school thru visits home during college days. Sal was always so friendly and genuine. Our son really enjoyed his visits to the barber shop.
We are so sorry to hear about Sal's passing.
Our deepest thoughts are with his family and friends. He will be missed by those lucky to have known him.

We loved Sal. He sort of dropped out of life a couple of years ago; and we lost contact. He was pretty private; so I didn't have a phone number. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. That barber shop was pure entertainment; and you happened to walk out with the best haircut in town. Lively conversation, lots of laughs. I'm just so sad to hear this about my dear friend, Sal.
Our condolences to the LoCoco Family from George & Catherine Busateri.
