Sandy Matter will always have a place in our hearts. And our thoughts and prayers go out to her family. Sandy was the best daycare director ever. All 3 of our kids went through MEI daycare and we used to joke but half serious about the great job Sandy was doing raising them. She truly cared about every child. And they all loved her. With Sandy's death, the world has lost a beautiful person.

Sandra was a tireless advocate for quality child care, for the children, for their families, and for the early childhood workforce...at Marquette Electronics Kids Department and for child care in Wisconsin. She had a hand in many important contributions to improving child care quailty in the years she worked in child care positions, and served in volunteer leadership positions. We were lucky to have Sandra's experise, commitment and passion for so many years. I feel very fortunate to have known Sandra and to have been able to work with her for many of those years...at conferences, at the State Capitol, and I join others in saying that this is a great loss. My sympathy to her family, friends and colleagues.

Sandy was a great friend to child care and she will be greatly missed. She made Marquette Electronics- Kids Department a great place for kids. Her contributions to the field of Early Care and Education will live on in the Administrator's Credential and all the many things she had a hand in creating for our profession.

Sandra was so sweet to Charlie, Ruby, and I. She always smiled even when I asked the same questions. She was patient with all of us kids. :) What a delightful woman!

Lauire and Bob, Larry and Marilyn, Judy and John; I am so sorry to hear about Sandy. Every time I attend a Matter family funeral, I feel like I have lost a member of my own family. Hope to see you all tonight. Ricky and Sandy, I'm sure, are once again keeping Tom and Louise laughing!! And tell Tom for me that I was the one who always loosened Taffy's mussel. (Tee-Hee!) God Bless...

Here is my favorite photo of Sandy's warm and beautiful smile

We are so saddened to hear about Sandy's passing. She was always a bright spot in our kid's time at Marquette Kids Department. Her unbridled enthusiasm for the children always showed even when the “little ones were being difficult. Our thoughts and prayers go out to her family and everyone's lives she touched.
