Scott raced my son Kyle in Dripping Springs at a 5K. My son was a young upstart, they raced together for most of the race, then Kyle pulled away for the win, with Scott coming in second. After the race, Kyle said Scott came up and congratulated him and complimented his race. Kyle was so proud of that. The first thing he told me was that "The guy that raced with me was really nice to me!". I always think of that when I think of Scott. His family is in my prayers.

"Scott Birk was a wonderful husband, father, brother...and son to his mother Nancy. I know they are all going to miss him terribly. Nancy was a single mom and was devoted to raising her three children. She did a wonderful job and Scott's life is a true testamony of her efforts"... Toni Schwenner Stoffel (Dallas, Texas)

Scott has been bringing his children to our office for over ten years. He is an amazing dad and one of the friendliest people you could ever meet. This is truly a tragic loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed.

I did not know Scott but I met his mother Nancy at the YWCA where we walked together many times. During these walks we talked about our children and I know how proud she was of Scott and his family. In reading about him in all these tributes I can see what a wonderful man he was.. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
