Dear Family of Shirley,
My deepest sympathy in your loss of Shirley. I'm a member of St. Benedict the Moor Parish and worked with Shirley in our Downtown Parish Collaboration during the 90's and early 2000's. What a fun and generous-hearted woman she was! My heart feels happy whenever I think of her. May she enjoy her first Easter in heaven! And may you all be deeply comforted in your loss. Peace to all of you, Sister Helen Gourlay, BVM

Mary Jo and Family,
As a Pius XI student, my memories of your Mom are all happy ones. She was the smiling, welcoming face in the office and always had a kind, supportive word for all. May you find comfort in all of the memories shared, here, and in the hearts of your family and friends. Her spirit lives on.

I am so sorry to learn that Shirley is another member of our family to leave us and join God and the other Carey/Drexler/Reiff's in heaven. She is no longer suffering and is enjoying a wonderful place. She was such a wonderful "Confirmation God Mother" and I will always remember that day. Unfortunately we have not been able to visit with each other recently, and I will always regret that. Just know that I think of the Drexlers often and you are always in my prayers. God Bless You All.

Dear Ed & Family,
My thoughts and prayers are with you as you deal with the passing of your wife, mother and grandmother. Shirley has struggled with health issues these past years and you Ed have been faithful, as well as the children in tending to her care. It is our faith that summons us to believe that Shirley's "life is simply changed not ended." I hope that aspect of our faith strengthens you at this time. I hold you in prayer.
In the Risen Christ,
Fr. Marv Knighton
