Cool mild-mannered, the last time I saw him he was working at a grocery store we even got to know each other away from school and after graduating. He was well liked by the African American students, his presence was a beautiful Cultural Shock and for that he will be missed by me but never forgotten, I can see his effortless smile. My Condolences To his Love Ones.

I was Steven´s third grade teacher at Saint Peter & Paul School in Milwaukee. Yes I called him Steven then. I taught many children for many years in several states but especially remember him and his best friend Tony Torre. In fact I have even in recent years looked for them online to no avail.
I remember Steven as a sweet boy who was liked by all of the children in my class. His smile was delightful as was his personality. I´m so very saddened to hear of his passing. I hope my fond memories of him will gladden the hearts of his family at this sad time.
To Tony Torre who´s post is also included here I send my condolences. You two will always be in my memory.

Very sad to hear about Steve, I first met Steve when were 6 or 7 years old. We became best of friends throughout grade school until my family moved away to the south side. We had a lot fun throughout those years and I have some memories that still make me laugh. We saw each other a few times later on and I was always hoping to see Steve again but that never happened unfortunately. My sincere condolences to the Sokolowski family.
