Bruce and Gayle,
I am shocked to learn the news of your tragedy. I was out of town and missed the news until now. There are no words to express my sympathy for you and your family. A wonderful young man who will be long remembered.
I worked with Mel and Betty at Nicolet High School and heard about the grandchildren so very often from two very proud and loving grandparents. My prayers and thoughts are with you at this time. God Bless, Marcia Olen

Gayle and Bruce and family...
I am just heartbroken to hear of Steven's passing. I know teacher's (like parents) aren't supposed to admit to having favorite students, but heck- Steven was one of mine. He was the kind of student that even after leaving teaching, I still remember and bring up in conversation now and then- admiring his persistence and drive and passion. The way he didn't see his obstacles the same way other people did. I always admired that in Steven.
Looking back over DECA / ABS pictures the last few days since hearing the news... I just want you to know that Steven had a purpose. He spread knowledge and wisdom to his peers... in big and small ways on a daily basis. He certainly made a difference in my life and will continue to do so.
I wish you peace and love throughout this difficult time.
