One of my fondest memories is when Tom and I went fishing and caught a really nice batch of crappies. We decided to take Barb along the next weekend. We didn't stop to think that it got cold that week and the lake had ice on it. We still thought we could break through it to get to the open water. So Tom and I launched the boat, slid it out onto the ice to try and get it to the open water. We tried to break the ice but it was too thick. All the while, Barb sat in the car looking at us like we were crazy. I guess we were, as in the end, we had to give up and put the boat back on the trailer. I will always remember the look on Barb's face, after an hour of watching us.
As you said, Tom would want us all to celebrate his life and the times he made us smile. This is one of many times we shared together that is special to me.
Mary and I are very saddened to hear Tom passed away. We shared a lot of years together that were very memorable. We truly miss him and we are sorry for your loss.
