Vincent Scheerer Obituary

Scheerer, Vincent L. Of Hartford was Born to Eternal Life Tuesday, March 22, 2011, at the age of 86 years. He was born July 31, 1924, in Philadelphia, the son of Louis and Gertrude Scheerer. He worked at Broan-NuTone for 17 years. Vincent was a past member of the Hartford Lions Club. He served as a juvenile judge for children who needed some guidance in their lives. He served in many capacities in the Catholic Church for many years. He held his faith as a very important part of his life. Vincent treated everyone with fairness and with compassion. Vincent was a devout father and a very loving husband. He will be deeply missed. He is preceded in death by six brothers and three sisters. He is survived by his loving wife Carolyn (nee O'Connor) of Hartford, his dearest son Paul (Cielo) of Peru, and his precious grandchildren, Vincent and Stephen. Vincent is also survived by his niece Brenda Wilson and her children Alexandria, Brittany and Jonathan, and his nephew Vincent Scheerer and family of Texas. Also surviving are other relatives and many friends. Mass of Resurrection is Saturday, March 26, at 1:30 PM, at the Shrine Chapel at the Basilica of Holy Hill, Level 3.
