Virgena is a presence in my memory long after I lived with her in Laredo, TX. As she suffered a stroke while with us and we with her, together we shared what was to be the best for Virgena. The sharing was respectful being lovingly truthful. In the end, Virgena made the decision to return to Chicago where care could be better provided. She took care of her needs and still continued her presence of ministry anew. I am grateful to Virgena for this example of selflessness in my life time.
