Caring and cherished Father of Daniel T., Patricia M. (Kimball) Korth, Denise D. (Warren) Haeberle, Kathleen D. (Scott) Fleming and William E. (Kellie) Dennehy. Loving Grandfather of Kerri Korth (Todd) Richardson, Kristy (Richard) Sweigard, Jessica Tighe, Kevin Korth, James (Kindra) Fleming, William (Amy) Fleming; Michael (Jenna) Haeberle, Scott Fleming; the late Michael Fleming, Erin Dennehy, William Dennehy, Christopher Haeberle, Katie Haeberle, Daniel Dennehy and Katie Dennehy. Great-Grandfather of Shay, Tyson and the late Kaden Sweigard. Dear Brother of the late Mark M., O.S.M., the late Anselm, M., O.S.M., Margaret (the late Earl) Jandacek, Therese (the late James) Smetana; the late Kathleen (the late James) Hurkes, the late Dennis (Marge) Dennehy; Fond Brother-in-law of the late Mary (the late John) Ellsworth, Rosemarie (the late Robert) Malone; the late Thomas (Ruth) Jesse; Ethel Rita (the late Edward) Nykaza; the late Jack (the late Ruth) Jesse, and the late Geraldine (Brendan) Sullivan; devoted Son of the late Daniel and the late Helena. Further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Emmett lived the American dream. The son of Irish immigrants, after high school he enlisted in the Navy and spent three and a half years most of which was on the USS Fremont in the Pacific during the second world war. He went to DePaul University on the G.I. Bill and graduated with a degree in accounting. He worked for the Chicago Carton Company which became Waldorf which became Hoerner Waldorf which became Champion which became International Paper and finally became Waldorf again. He started as an office boy and ultimately became a Senior Vice President in charge of consumer packaging plants in Milwaukee, Chicago, Keokuk, Iowa and Boston. When he retired in 1990, he was the longest tenured employee at Waldorf. He was also a great athlete. Emmett dedicated his life to his wife and their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Both he and his wife were born and raised on the South side of Chicago in large, loving families. In their married lives, they lived in Chicago, Palos Heights, Illinois; Edina, Minnesota, River Hills, Wisconsin and Bonita Bay, Florida. Emmett and Pat were terrific ballroom and square dancers. He and his wife ran many successful parties at the Ozaukee Country Club while he was the social director. His pastimes were bowling (175 average) with the Ozaukee Country Club members and golf. He once shot a hole in one. For years he was one of the Irish Mafia golfing group at Ozaukee Country Club. Special thanks to Dr. Mark Chelmowski, his nurse, Cathy, Dr. Marc Rozanski and the staff of Horizon Homecare & Hospice, Inc. who took care of Emmett during his long, steady decline, especially Vera, Jodie, Ericka, Debbie and Tina. Visitation will be held at the Feerick Funeral Home on Friday, September 5, 2014, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. Family and friends will meet at the Funeral Home at 11:45 AM on Saturday, September 6, 2014. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Eugene Church in Fox Point, Wisconsin on Saturday, September 6, 2014 at 1:00 PM followed by procession to Resurrection Cemetery, 92nd and Donges Bay Road. Fr. Scott Wallenfelsz will say the mass and do the final blessing.
