William B. "Billy" Yersin

1941 - 2017

Yersin, William B. "Billy" Passed to Eternal Life on Friday, October 13, 2017 at the age of 76. He was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on September 11, 1941, the son of Adolph G. and Mary A. (nee Bernik) Yersin. He attended public schools in West Allis and Milwaukee. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Carroll College, Waukesha, Wisconsin in 1963. He was a member of Tau Kappa Epsilon and Alpha Kappa Psi fraternitites and a member of the wrestling team. He was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in the United States Air Force in September 1963 after completing Officers Training School at Lackland AFB, San Antonio, Texas. His active duty assignments included Bedford AFS, VA; Lackland AFB, TX; Clark AB; the Philippines; and Lowry AFB, CO. He retired from the Air Force Reserve in 1984. After leaving active duty, he was employed as a Civil Servant at Lowry AFB, CO. He retired from Civil Service at the Air Reserve Personnel Center in 1996 and resided in Aurora, Colorado after retirement. He is survived by numerous cousins. Visitation Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at the funeral home 11:30AM until time of funeral service at 12PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
