I don't know what I would have done without Susie and Woody for the last five years. I only hope I can be the support for Susie that she has been for me - I'll miss Woody and all the great stories he had to share, all his e-mails, computer skills, all the boat rides, Packer games, Badger games, and just being there to help when I needed it most - Just know he is not hurting any more and at last can find some peace.

I am so happy that we got to spend some time together in Las Vegas. It was great to have you and Susan close this past year. Barney and I will miss you dearly. Thank goodness the pain has ended and thank you for being such a good friend all these years. I will never forget you.

I am in shock after just finding out about Woody's passing. Woody was my first boss when he hired me at St. Mary's back in 1984. He took a chance hiring a new HS grad to his team, and I learned a great deal from him. I never had a dull moment working for him. His contagious laugh and wild, crazy sense of humor is something I will fondly remember. I especially looked forward to the visits from his beautiful wife, Susan, and his darling girls. They were so sweet, and such a beautiful family. Whenever they visited work, I thought "what a blessed man Woody is!" I am so sorry to hear of your loss, and I will pray for each of you, and Woody as well.

I have so many good memories of riding with Woody and Sue. He loved the blues and attended the last Stevie Ray Vaughn concert. When I told him I also was there that sad night he recorded a treasured VCR tape of SVR for me. Thanks Sue for welcoming us to your house and all the fun times. Although his ride was short, it was a great one and he will be remembered by the many people he shared his ride with.

Woody you will be missed. There are plenty of Woody stories out there for sure. We will all remember you and your wonderful wit. In some ways we are very similar, such as the magnet I have that was given to me as a gift. It reads you are only young once, but you can stay immature indefinitely. Thru emails we remained in contact even though you were across country. Although we mourn your loss I cannot help but be happy that you are no longer suffering. No long hospital stay and you had one last great party. Like the true Woody we know and love you stayed out as long as possible. Find peace my friend, my uncle. Your memory will forever live.

Deep booming laughter with a delightful and wickedly charming ring; Woody's twinkingly eyes and playful antics sparked us all to live life more robustly. He is unforgettable and will be sorely missed. My heart is wrenched for his Susie whose heart he made boom-boom.
