Bismark K. Brown

Bismark K. Brown of Juneau, formerly of Ashely Botwe, Ghana West Africa, passed on January 6, 2021 while at work on Admiralty Island, with Hecla Greens Creek Mines. Cause of death is undetermined at this time. He is survived by his wife Sharon Wright-Brown of Hoonah, his daughter Maame "Esi" Brown  also of Ghana, mother & father Felicia and Charles Kwesi Brown, brothers Peter, Ato, Charles and Ebenezer Brown also of Ashely Botwe in Ghana, West Africa, his extended family included members of the Schoonover and Wright family of Juneau and Hoonah.

Bismark came to Alaska on December 2, 2016 to join his wife Sharon. As a Permanent resident he hoped to become a US Citizen in June, having passed his Citizenship Test. He became well known in Juneau due to his kindness and infectious laughter that affected everyone he met. He was once told by a kind woman of Juneau, "I can see the God in you."

Funeral Services will be held at the St. Paul's Church at 9055 Atlin Drive in Juneau, Alaska. On Saturday, January 30, 2021. Funeral Services beginning at 1:00 pm. A viewing has not been decided at this point, but if it is possible; it will  held in the entrance lobby beginning at 12:00 noon. The family understands if you cannot stay or cannot attend the services due to the Covid-19 pandemic. We ask that your thoughts and prayers be with us during that time. Posts on FaceBook are welcome to demonstrate this. If you do choose to attend in person; please wear a mask and practice Social Distancing. Your presence will be appreciated though it may be difficult to have social contact. 

Bismark will be returning to Ghana as soon as his death certificate is received by the family and proper requirements for his travel can henceforth be completed to allow this. Family will escort him home, please pray for safe passage, due to COVID-19 restrictions being imposed.
