Carol will always be the most generous, caring and loving best friend. She has left a legacy of love to everyone that knew her. I think of her so often. But I know she´s in heaven with Jesus in paradise. It´s just that I miss her.

I met Carol at Sheldon Jackson School, she and my sister Diann (Morrison) Nelson were close friends. I was attracted to her friendly, out-going nature, also she was a good dancer and I really enjoyed dancing. After High School, she and my sister remained close friends, I saw her only a couple of times after high school but she was still that same out-going friendly, fun-loving person. I think that anyone who knew her was better for having known her. My deepest condolences to her family.

I met Carol at Sheldon Jackson Highschool in 1957. I liked her immediately, in fact I had a "crush" on her: she was so outgoing and bubbly, much like my sister Diann. She and Diann became life-long friends. Carol was undoubtedly a most unforgettable character. Upon learning of her "Going Home", I experienced a deep sense of sadness yet another feeling of happiness to have been included in her circle of friends. I offer my deepest condolences to her family at their loss.

The Carol Jean's family. I just learned from my younger sister that Carol Jean went home. I was deeply saddened by the news for I too met Carol at Sheldon Jackson in 1958. She was a Freshman and I was a Junior. She was always so up-beat, smiling and laughing. Whenever I was in her presence she made me feel special. She and I remained friends for nearly 6 Decades. The only way I can describe her: she had a light in her and made everyone within that light feel special.

Carol was a lovely woman inclusive and kind, we compared notes on parenting so many years ago. Carol had a way of encouraging that is rare and we spent a lot of time laughing at little things. She was a bright and loving woman and she will be missed.

My condolences to the family of Carol. She was unique in her own way. I meet her a few years ago through my sisters. We would say hi & little by little I got to know her. We would mostly talk about fashion. And her fashion was one of a kind. I found out through time what a nice lady she was. She would take the time to chit chat with you. And always smiling. Even though we weren't close I liked Carol for who she was. My condolences to family I'm truly sorry for your loss. May Carol rest in peace.

Little did I know, as a young 13 year old that God was going to give me a gift, a friend for life - Carol Aceveda. We met at Sheldon Jackson our freshman year. This friendship spanned many years. She won the Competent Christian citizenship Award which was the most coveted award the school gave out. When she won it, it had been 15 years since a student received this honor. She never preached Jesus, she didn't have to because she lived like him. She was always kind, considerate and compassionate. She won the Alaskan artist of the year award one year. and She was a genius as far as her artwork went. She was keenly intelligent, yet never made any person feel inferior to her. She made my daughter, Colleen one of the most beautiful wedding gowns you would have ever seen. Colleen still has the dress after more than 25 years. Then she also re-designed my daughter Collette's wedding dress and catered the reception, because Carol's hors d'oeuvres were so superior, it was a very high-classed reception. Our loyalty to each other was unquestionable, she was always my hero. Her children, Jimmy, Desiree, Michelle, Derek, Jon, Marc, Caron, and John Forchemer, Jr. were the most loved of anything in her life and always the focus of her care. Always wanting to be a role-model for them, always preparing them to face life, and be successful and to have the highest integrity, character and concern for the well-being of others. She was my teacher, my confident, my hero! We were very competitive. Especially in high school sports, track especially. Fierce competitors but always glads when either one of us would win the medal. We both love basketball. Especially the Gold Medal Tournament. Me cheering for Hydaburg and her, Kake. We loved to dance and had a lot of fun going out. She was quick-witted and we always had laughter in our friendship! Even when things were despairing we would find something to be grateful for. I never knew anyone with such superior intelligence. I had the highest respect because of her wisdom. I could tell even as a little girl, her wisdom was way beyond her years. Last Sunday during church services, I saw Carol running down the streets of gold in heaven both Carol and Jesus laughing. Yes, my friend, Carol, loved to laugh. I believe Jesus gave me this vision to comfort me, so now, to you, her children, I'm giving it to you, so that it will comfort you, as it did me. I won't say good-bye to my friend, Carol because she's too alive in my memories. I know, my daughters also grieve for they loved her, too. So my beloved friend, Carol, I will see you very soon in my next memory. You are always close to me in my thoughts...Your loving devoted friend, Diann Morrison
