Clara Martin Obituary
On May 24, 2019, Clara peacefully slipped away at her home. She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Agatha Willems and her brothers Wesley and Arnold Willems. She is survived by her husband Roy Martin, their daughter Lynn Coffee, granddaughters Alexandria Martin-Drazkowski and Serena Drazkowski and great-grandson, Milian Mitchell as well as several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on July 14, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. at Chapel by the Lake Church. A reception will be held in Smith Hall immediately following the memorial service.
Special thanks to Dr. Cook, Dr. Weiden, Melissa and the rest of the staff at Hospice and Homecare. We would also like to thank Janet Thrower, Judy Weske and Joyce Van Sickle who helped care for Clara, Roy and Lynn during our time of need.
In lieu of flowers, we ask that you consider donating to Hospice and Homecare of Juneau.

I'm still missing you Mom. I always will. I'm getting married and it's so difficult to believe you won't be here with me. You always had an eye for putting things together and helped keep me on track when I become overwhelmed. I wish you were here. I'm glad you were able to get to know Bill all those years ago when we became friends. I know you're looking down on me and saying "you finally got it right, Kid." It's so hard to believe it's been three years since I last saw you. I love you Mama.

Clara was a wonderful example of a Godly woman in our Church family, and the best neighbor. As a young mom with very active kids, I remember her willingness to jump in when my oldest had split his head open and this panicked mom had no idea what to do first. She was an excellent nurse, full of compassion and kindness. May God give you comfort and peace in your loss.

I will never forget how welcoming she and Mr Martin were when I needed a place to say due to an emergency flight with a layover in Juneau. Nor will I forget the talk we had with a cup of tea before I left.
