I will never forget how I met Paul. I was going to college in Juneau, and the Fish and Game softball team was trying to find enough players, or they would have to forfeit the game. Paul called my father to see if he was available to play. My father told Paul that he couldn't make it but he knew someone that could, me. I showed up for the game and had a great night driving in several runs. At the end of the game, Paul asked me if I could play in their next game and join the team. My exact response to Paul was, "Can you put me to work for Fish and Game?" In those days you didn't have to be on a State register, you could be hired right out of the blue. The rest was history. Not only did I play softball with Paul for over 15 years, I wound up working a few seasons for him, tagging and tag recovery, Pink Salmon. Paul and his wife were very good friends with my family and he was the type of individual you like immediately. It was no surprise to me that Paul excelled with Fish and Game. My heart just aches for his family, and the loss of a wonderful man.

I set up the blind date where Paul and Phyllis met and we remained close friends ever since. I have way too many fond memories of good times spent with Phyllis and Paul to list them here, but I want to say how much Paul will be missed in this world, but I look forward to seeing his big smile when we are all together again.

I am Phyllis cousin. I was so impressed with the fabulous marriage that she and Paul had. On their trips to Florida, they woulc stop by and see us in Bakersfield, Ca. We so enjoyed their visits. We went to Juneau and they showed us a fabulous time. Paul was retired and he took us gold panning and a salmon bbq - what fun. He will be missed and we will keep Phyllis and her family in our prayers. God bless
