Jody Alan Swartz, 64, of Lewis Run, PA, passed away peacefully on March 26, 2026 at the Lutheran Home at Kane. Jody was born on June 3, 1961, in Bradford, PA, to Irvin Jr. Swartz and the late Joan Swartz (Stanley). He graduated from Bradford Area High School in 1980. He lived in Kane, PA, for a majority of his life, employed by Highland Forest Resources as a forklift operator and later for Bradford Forest Products.

Jody was an avid reader of many different novel genres with his favorite being mysteries. He spent most of his free time reading, riding four wheelers and his favorite - spending time at the camp in Sigel, PA, with friends and family, where you would always find him with a smile on his face and a beer in his hand.

Jody is survived by his loving father, Irvin Jr. Swartz, his brother, Jerry Swartz (Teresa) his sister, Amy Breznik (John), his four nephews, Thomas DeCasper (Destiny) Dustin Swartz (Sarah), Garrett DeCasper (Sydney), Jake DeCasper (Mariah) his two nieces, Courtney Dangelo (Nick) and Kayla Dombrosky (Dane) and several great nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother, Joan Swartz.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date with family and friends.
