75, passed away Thursday, March 24th, 2022. He was born October 23rd, 1946 to J.D. and Clarissa Cox in Wichita.
Bob loved to spend time with his family in the Flint Hills of Kansas.
He was preceded in death by his infant son, Russell; parents, J.D. and Clarissa; and by his sister, Linda
Bob is survived by his wife of 55 years, Sue Cox; children, Lori Carter (Todd), Matt Cox (Angie); grandchildren, Madaleine, Josh, Justin; siblings, Bill, Sallie, and Wanda.
Visitation: Sunday, March 27th, 2022, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Smith Family Mortuary-Mulvane Chapel, 501 SE Louis Blvd. Mulvane 67110. Celebration of Life: 11:00 am, Monday, March 28th, 2022 at First Baptist Church Mulvane, 1020 N 2nd Ave Mulvane, 67110.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Gideons International or to Saving Sight Foundation.

I know it´s been awhile since you passed, but I just wanted to leave a message letting anyone reading this that although I didn´t see Bob or Sue much after my grandparents, his parents, passed away I always loved you both. I remember hanging out at his service station a lot with my mom, his sister, while they visited or waited for our car to be repaired. Love and miss you.

Bob was my first real boss. He was an excellent boss as well as a friend. I and many others have real treasured memories of working with Bob at his Vickers filling station. 5515 E Harry in Wichita. I wish we would have stayed in touch, but that didn't keep me and others remembering the great experiences we had together. He was a great person and I know he will be really missed. Sue and family, my prayers are with you.

I have a picture of Bobby Cox boxing my father in Hilltop from the early 1960's. The Hylton family loved Bobby Cox and the whole Cox family. I remember going to his gas station as a kid and wanting to just hang out. He was always the same - friendly, funny and a great smile. Great memories with all the Cox Family. God Bless Bobby Cox.
