My sympathy goes out to the family of Brock. I had known and been friends with Brock for several years. My most vivid memories of Brock come from when we worked as editor and co-editor of the El Dorado High School newspaper. After we graduated from high school, Brock was a friend, coach, and mentor to my little brother, Heath. It's amazing how a young, twenty-one year-old man had already touched the lives of so many people. To Brock's family: Psalms 46, God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in times of trouble. God bless.

Bob, Teresa, and Brooke,

When we moved in next door 3 years ago, we really did not know what kind of neighbors we would have. Now we can say we are very fortunate to have the Poe family next door. We are so sorry for the loss of your son and brother. We also lost a great friend and neighbor. We will miss Brock deeply. You will be in our thoughts and prayers always!!!

To the Poe Family:

I attended school with Brock in El Dorado and graduated with him in 2000. I will always remember him as being very outgoing, an over-achiever, and a leader. He achieved so much already, but I think that anyone who knew him expected great things from him. He was the type of person that you just knew would do great things and achieve so much in life. I am very sorry to hear about your loss and know that God will help you through this tragedy. I will keep your family in my prayers.

Bob, Theresa, and Brooke,

Dan and I are both so sorry for your loss. We did not know Brock well, but Keith and Cathy speak so highly of him. As a school counselor in El Dorado, I have had the opportunity to hear so much about the people who knew and loved him, those who had so much respect for him, and those that will miss him always. May God bless you and keep you in his fold.

I met Brock through the YMCA. Everytime I would go in to work out he would say, "Hey T-rich." It really brought a smile to my face, he was always the ray of sunshine to everyone that walked in. Brock will be greatly missed. Brock is now looking down on all of us, keeping a watchful eye on everyone he knows and loves. You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

I did not know Brock personally, but heard great things about him from my brother, Heath Heine. Heath played for Brock on the Legion team, and thought him an excellent coach & friend. I know he made a big impact on Heath's personal life & his baseball, and Heath will have a void in both areas form now on. I met Brock just a little over a year ago when he first hired on at the El Dorado YMCA. He was a joy to work with. I remember a story he once told me during our first season of t-ball at the Y, he was so excited. Brock told me about a little boy he was working with that had followed through with something that he had taught him. The smile on his face that day...he was so proud...I'll never forget him. I admired his passion for working with youth and sports. He'll be missed by many.
