Byron "Forest" Boone
December 4, 1927 - August 22, 2021
Andover, Kansas - Boone, Byron Forest, 93, retired owner of Custom Equipment, passed away peacefully in his home on August 22, 2021. Forest was born to Byron and Eva Boone in Dighton, Kansas on December 4, 1927, the 5th of 10 children. He spent his childhood years in Dighton and worked many hours on the family farm. He graduated from Dighton High School. Forest moved to Wichita, Kansas where he met his wife, Grace Helen Boone. They were united in marriage on August 2, 1958. Forest and Helen were married for 53 years. They had 3 children. His survivors include his children Glenda Lea Jones (Brent), James Forest Boone, and Beth Ann Boone, all of Andover, Kansas; grandchildren, Jordan Jones (Molly) and Tristan Jones (Hannah); 2 great-grandchildren, Brynlie Jones and Kinsley Jones; brother Ken Boone (Diane); sisters Dorothy Gibson, Lucille Speer, Juanita Hall and Lois Koeppen. A memorial service will be held at Lakeview Cemetery, 12100 E 13th St N, Wichita, KS at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 28, 2021. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Andover Senior Center, 410 Lioba Dr., Andover, KS 67002.
