Charles Tapia Obituary
Charles "Chuck" Tapia, passed away on May 9, 2016 in Libby, Montana, where he lived for many years.
Chuck was born on August 6, 1936 in Albuquerque, NM and raised in the South Valley on Tapia Blvd. SW.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Alda Tapia; step-daughter, Connie Freese; his parents Nativo and Irene Tapia; his four siblings, Joseph Able, Felix, Mary Chavez and Ruth Ettinger; brother-in-law Paul Sheridan Sr.; and nephew Paul Sheridan Jr. Also Patricia Kemoyer, his companion of many years.
He is survived by his grandson JoDean Freese (Renee); five sisters, Allen and Betty Thayer, Joanna Chavez, Dolores Reves, Isaac and Rebecca Venegas, Robert and Alice Kozlowski; also Ruth Sheridan; many nieces and nephews.
He had Little Pig's Market on Eubank NE in Albuquerque; worked on the Alaska pipeline.
Chuck was an avid and expert hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman. He enjoyed spending time with his loved ones in the outdoors and did so as much as possible.
His cremains were brought to Albuquerque where private services were held.
