Daniel Wise Obituary
Daniel was born December 23, 1977, in Castro Valley, to Dennis and Gail Wise. Daniel graduated from NMCHS in 1996. He worked with pride at Ord Terrace Liquors in Seaside, the family business for many years before venturing into sales with Young's Market Dist.
Daniel loved to go on fishing trips. He cherished his time on the Condors football and baseball teams. He was a very devoted S.F. Giants and 49er fan. A lover of all music. He always had a smile on his face and a joke or funny story to tell. He considered anyone he came in contact with a friend. We will all miss him dearly.
Daniel is survived by his parents, Gail Neu and Dennis Wise; step-parents, Katie Wise and James Neu; siblings, Jennifer Silva, James Neu, and Garrett Masey; grandmother, Elfrieda Berg; niece, Jordyn Silva; brother-in-law, Robert Silva and sister-in-law, Alison Masey; fiance' Niki Okamura and her daughter, Charette Nanney; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends considered family.
Memorial service will be held Wednesday, Jan. 26, at 2 p.m., at Our Lady of Refuge Catholic Church, 11140 Preston St., Castroville.
For those who would like to make a donation in lieu of flowers, we ask you donate to one of CHOMP's Foundation programs: Sponsor Care, Cancer Center or Recovery Center in his name.

My dear sweet son, my heart is broken by your passing. I hope you knew just how much I love you. I miss your voice, your laughing eyes, and our hugs and talks. You were a wonderful son and I was always so proud of you and the caring and loving man you became. From the first time I held you to the last, no one will ever fill your shoes. My love of my life. Those beautiful blue eyes I cherish all the moments you looked into my eyes and all the memories we shared,there was not a day that went bye that you did not tell me "GOOD MORNING BABY I LOVE YOU and at night GOODNIGHT BABY SWEET DREAMS I LOVE YOU". I remember your son very well. He was a kind young man. This truly breaks my heart! He and Jason were fast friends. I know that there are no words that I can say that will ease your pain. Wow! Nick just went to the store today and just found out about Dan. We are truly, truly sadden. I was thinking about the times when he worked at the store and we would stop by and fill the incense order, then we talk about cars or sports, etc.. Boy! This news is sure a hard one to grasp. May Dan memories, comfort us all. God Bless!

I cant believe Daniel is gone... I met him in middle school and we became close friends.. Stayed friends all the way thru until we graduated together from High School... He always made me laugh and had an amazing smile... He will be greatly missed and hold fond memories in my heart.. May God comfort your family thru this difficult time....

To Dans family and friends, i was shocked to learn of dans passing. i met dan in middle school and we graduated high school together. his picture always followed mine in the yearbook. he had a contagious smile and laugh he was a kick in the pants to say the least! may you find strength through memories in the difficult time.

I met Dan in high school though we didn't know each other very well. He was an all-around great guy. Even if he barely knew you, he was quick to give you a hello. I'm so sorry to hear about his passing. Dan will be in my thoughts.

I was totally caught off guard by your lost. Dan was always good to me with a warm heart of sincerity and a joy to converse with. I am so honored to have shared some of the best times in High school with Dan. He was not only my Dance co. partner, he was an amazing friend. He always new what to say or do to put a smile on my face. He's the boy that took me to my first NFL game, & made me a 49er fan for life!!! My love & prayers go out to his family. Thank you for being the big brother I never had. I have always remembered the car door rule about guys and a first date...don't even waste my time on a second date if they don't open my door first and always reach over to unlock theirs.

Wow. I am shocked and saddened to learn of Dan's passing. Though, it's been many years since we last spoke, I often reminisce about the time spent together in high school, and the mischievous fun we had. My sincerest condolences are offered to Dan's family. I will always remember his smiling face and laughter. He knew how to brighten somebody's day. Never caring if you were "cool" or not, but just nice to everyone. I am so sorry for the lost of such a great guy. I was never close to Dan in High School but from passing him in the halls, or seeing him in the forum I know he was a geat person. He had a very infectious smile which could brighten anyones day. The world lost a great guy but always know his spirit is always with you. RIP Dan. Some of my fondest elementary and high school memories involved Dan. He was such a funny and special guy. I am praying for those who are left behind and missing him.

Dan and I were friends in middle school. I left Moss landing when I moved to Watsonville and found Dan at LuLu's liquor store. He was my attachment to my old school and friends. When I returned, he was still a good friend. I will miss Dan greatly and feel regret that I could not reconnect with my friend after we parted when we left school.
