Park City, Kansas - Dee aka "Go Lucky" Morey, 61, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many, retired Veteran Affairs Claims Examiner serving in many capacities, died Wednesday, January 12, 2022. Denise was very active with the Midian Shriners Krazy Klowns, Ladies Oriental Shrine, Daughters of the Nile and Order of the Eastern Star. Preceded in death by her mother, Thelma M. Patterson. Survived by her husband, David "Happy" Roy Morey of Wichita; father, Harold Elmo Patterson of Colwich, KS; sister, Dena (Mike) Purkey of Goddard; daughter, Patti Norris of Pittsburg, KS; son, Shawn David (Jenifer) Morey of Pittsburg, KS; granddaughters, Paige Morey, Peyton Morey; grandsons, Chris Norris, Cody Norris, Cyler Atkins; numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and dear friends. A Celebration of Life service will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with: Midian Shrine Plane of Mercy, 130 N. Topeka, Wichita, KS 67202. I worked with Dee for many years at the VA. She was an incredibly kind and generous co worker, always ready and willing to lend a hand when someone needed help. My sincere condolences to her friends and family. The world will be a sadder place without her smile and heart.
