Floyd Carter Obituary

PARK - Carter, Floyd E., 80, died Aug. 5, 2012 in Hays. He was born Dec. 3, 1931 at Conway, Ark. He married Mary Ward on Feb. 28, 1953. They made their home in Wichita, where he retired from Boeing Aircraft. They later moved to Park. Floyd was preceded in death by a grandson, Shawn Spencer. Survivors: wife, Mary; sons, Danny Carter, Grainfield, David Carter, Atwood; daughter, Debra and husband, Gerry Brown, Grainfield; grandson, Chad Hanna and wife, Melissa, Grainfield; great-grandchild, Brielle Lynn Hanna; brothers, George Carter of Raleigh, N.C., Melvin and wife, Joann Carter, Conway, Ark.; and sister, Mary Lee and husband, Carroll Williams, Conway, Ark. He will be missed by all that knew him. The body was cremated. Memorial services at a later date. Memorials are suggested to the family to help with expenses c/o Poeples State Bank, Hoxie, Kan. Condolences may be sent in c/o Debra Brown, Box 166, Grainfield, KS, 67737.
