George was a gentle man, who always had a kind word to say to whomever he met. I always looked forward to our meetings and will deeply miss him.

Although I didn't know George well, I was always glad to see him at neighborhood gatherings. He was a lovely, warm, articulate gentlrman. The neighborhood won't be the same without him. May you rest in peace, George. My sincere condolences to all that knew him.

I had the privilege to work with Dr. Getz when he was the Clinical Director and then the Superintendent at Larned State Hospital before his retirement. He was a delightful man and one of the best bosses I ever was privileged to have. I always thought he was likely a frustrated English professor in some former life as he was well known for his proof-reading skills of various hospital reports with a red pen by his side. You knew you could write when a report went past him without the red pen being used. I wish him peace on his next journey and want to let his family know Dr. Getz made a difference for those whose lives were touched by mental illness.
