I know this is late but I just learned of Jims passing, I met fritz at the downtown YMCA, maybe in 2006, he just started talking to me, of course he made me laugh, he invited me to his retirement party & we've kept in touch over the years, I believe I spoke with fritz around the holidays, I am so saddened by his passing.

So sorry to hear of Jim's passing. He was a 'one of a kind' person with a caring heart and an easy going nature. I had the opportunity to work with Jim for many years and I know that he cared deeply about the people he worked with. Angie, you were the most important thing to him in his life. So sorry for your loss. Our thoughts and prayers go out to you and the rest of the Fritz family.

Jim and I were friends beginning in elementary school at Sacred Heart. We were teammates in many sports including football at St Joe. Jim was the one who could fire us up in the huddle and was a great motivator. He always had a smile and was a friend you could count on. My condolences to Angie and the Fritz family.

I worked with Jim in the Federal Probation Service. He was stationed in Wichita and I was in Kansas City. Jim was a dedicated officer with a strong commitment to the Federal Court, to his profession and to his friends. We met several times at District functions including a cookout at his farm. A great time. I appreciate his service and extend my sympathy to his family.

Angie-I was a friend of your mom's. She and I went to high school together, so I knew your dad from her. Also, your Fritz grandparents and my parents were good friends. I am so sorry to learn of your dad's death. I know he was a good father. Jim was always a lot of fun to be around, and I know he was very proud of you. Please accept my most heartfelt sympathy.
Fondly,
Patrice (Burns) Ludwig

Angie,
My folks, Bill and Norma Cooley, thought a lot of Jim, as did I. He was a good man. Always quick with a big smile and loved to argue with my dad. Praying you hold on to good memories and know that he loved you so very much.

Jim was very special to me, he taught me about farming, he was stern yet funny and a sensitive kinda guy, he was like a father I never had. He named me Molatov. Angie calls me Cocktail. I will forever miss you.

When I met Jim freshman year at St. Joe, he told me a story of how an older cousin of mine helped him.We became immediate friends, which lasted thru out high school. Jim had a great sense of humor who treated everyone with equal respect.
Rest in peace Jim.My condolences to Jim's
daughter and family.

Sorry to hear about Jim's passing. We went to grade school and played a variety of sports together with such friends as Chris Flynn, Charlie Carpenter, Nick Michalski etc. A number of those friends like Jim went on to play Division 1 college sports. Caught back up with Jim at KU where we both were members of Phi Gam. Having seen much of Jim since he moved to Wichita other than to see him at an occasional KU football game. He was always fun to be around and always had a smile. My condolences to his family. Jim will be sorely missed.

"Fritz" was a very good and loyal friend. He will be remembered for the many laughs/conversations we had sitting at our favorite places in town. He loved so many things in his life - most of all - daughter - Angie. My prayers and blessings go to you Angie at this difficult time, and also to his family who also loved him. Fritz, you will always be missed. L. Newby

Jim and I grew up in the same KCK neighborhood. While we never attended the same schools, we became good friends as teenagers. Our primary shared interest was sports. Along with our neighborhood pals, we filled countless after-school hours and weekends with pick-up tackle football and basketball games.
Jim was good athlete but, even then, a better person, quick with a smile and good humor for everyone.
My condolences to Angie and to Jim's many brothers and sisters, who I also remember fondly.

I am so sorry to hear of Jim's passing. I have such fond memories of him as he and my dad, David Hill, were colleagues and best of friends for many years. I grew up knowing Jim and thinking of him brings many smiles and laughs as he and my dad were always pulling pranks on one another. We are praying for you Angie and all of your family. You were the light of his life.
