Jan Skinner Obituary

Jan attended East High School and was a pharmaceutical salesman for Riker/3M labs for 40 years in Wichita, Hawaii and Tulsa. Jan had two children from his first marriage to Shirley Mendenhall. In 1981 he married Bernie Keary of Hays, lived nine years in Hawaii and then retired to Tulsa.

Jan is survived by his wife, Bernie Skinner; sister, Judi Krehbiel(Tony); son, Gary Skinner(Wendy); daughter, Cindi May(Tim); three step-children, 8 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be sent to Stanley Funeral Home-www.stanleysfuneralhome.com. Donations may be made to the Oklahoma Aquarium-www.okaquarium.org.

Jan was a fraternity brother at Wichita University (now Wichita State). I remember him as a kind, fun-loving guy; a good friend.

Jan took me under his wing at the aquarium back in 2019. He was a wonderful mentor, and a kind friend. I will miss him forever.
