Leonard Casey Obituary

AUGUSTA-Casey, Leonard (Len) Lee 83, passed away on Thursday, August 30, 2018. Leonard was born on September 24, 1934 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Roy Melvin and Mary (Silfies) Casey. Lifelong teacher and high school principle, proud Marine, IBM salesman, little league coach, Len never met a stranger. Len had a "gift for gab" and always found a moment to chat. He enjoyed life and was happy seeing new places and trying new things. Len had a passion for nature and loved and respected all animals. He was a generous man with a big heart and a big smile. Len leaves behind many who love him dearly. His family includes his wife, Carrie (Clapp) Casey, daughters Coleen Casey and Nicole Kristensen (Peter); son Scott Casey; granddaughter Amanda Kristensen; grandsons Tyler Kristensen and Everett Casey; and brother Robert Casey (Sandi). There will be no services. Len can be remembered through memorial contributions to Wichita Animal Action League (WAAL), P.O. Box 21401, Wichita, KS 67208. AUGUSTA-Casey, Leonard (Len) Lee

Carrie,
My condolences to you and Len's family on his passing. I am sure he is heading up to have a cocktail with your dear sweet mother Charlie. I think of her often. Hope all is well out Augusta way. I am still kicking it up here in Omaha. My thoughts are with you.
