Derby, Kansas - 70, passed away Monday, July 26, 2021. She was born August 1, 1950 to Fred and Lillian Liebau in Wichita, Kansas.
Marilyn retired from nursing after 30 years of service. She was a loving and devoted sister, aunt, and friend.
She was preceded in death by her twin sister, Carolyn Hyre; brother-in-law, Bob Hyre; and parents.
Marilyn is survived by her siblings, Margaret (Bob) Dunlavy, Fred F. (Janice Farr) Liebau, Jr., Naomi (Donnie) Cheatum; 11 nieces and nephews; numerous great nieces and nephews.
Visitation: Thursday, July 29, 2021, from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm, with family present to greet from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Smith Family Mortuary, 1415 North Rock Road Derby, Kansas 67037. Funeral Service: 3:00 pm, Friday, July 30, 2021 at Pleasantview Baptist Church, 1335 North Buckner Street Derby, Kansas 67037. Interment to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pleasantview Baptist Church.

If ever there was a person who loved children like Jesus does, it was sweet Ms. Marilyn! Her kind, loving, selfless spirit was such a blessing & will surely be missed by many. What a relief to know that she is free of all Earthly burdens & rejoicing with Jesus in Heaven... no doubt rocking some babies on her lap! Thank you, dear Ms. Marilyn, for your service & devotion to countless little people in the PBC nursery; your love of them was evident!
