Mark Verbeck Obituary

Verbeck, Mark R., 46, loving husband, father and brother, passed away Thursday, Nov. 23, 2006 to be with his Savior. Mark will be deeply missed, but we have the blessed hope that we will all be together again! Visitation 1 to 8 p.m. Monday, Hillside Funeral Home West; services 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Evangel Assembly of God, 11444 W. 21st N.; burial at Greenwood Cemetery. Mark was born in Wichita on Nov. 1, 1960, he was the son of the late Carl and Alberte Verbeck and stepson of the late, Don Heider. He was a hard worker at Cessna Aircraft for 9 years. Mark enjoyed being with his family, at church activities and vacations to Silver Dollar City. He loved spending a lot of time with his boys camping and fishing. He was a very gifted and talented trumpet player and he played from his heart to praise his Savior whom he loved. On Jan. 10, 1986 he married Mary Babock, she survives. Other survivors include his sons, Ryan Verbeck, Stephen Verbeck and Ryan's fiance, Lindsay Jordan; sister, Jeanie Wilson and husband, Robert of Wichita; brother, David Verbeck and wife, Pam of Abilene, Texas; sister, Laurie Russell and husband, Cliff of Wichita. I am terribly Sorry for your loss. Mark was a great Man, and will be missed. He was nice to me, and gave me some great advise once after my Mother passed away. My prayers are with you all.
