Mary Fay Obituary

Mary Margaret (Hondros) Fay
June 28, 1940 - October 4, 2021
Palm Desert, California - The world lost a beloved and 'treasured' mother, Mary Margaret (Hondros) Fay. "MM" was 81 and passed away peacefully on October 4, 2021. She was born and raised in Wichita, and a current resident of both Palm Desert, CA and Lake Arrowhead, CA.
"Sister Mary Margaret" loved antiques, jewelry, and travel - but her utmost devotion was to her two sons.
Mary Margaret was the daughter of George and Margaret (Helgerson) Hondros and big sister to John Hondros. "Daddy's Girl" was born on June 28th, 1940. She loved golfing with her Dad and shopping with her Mom and Grandmother Peggy. She graduated from East High School, and received a BA degree in Political Science from her beloved Colorado University. Next stop was Hawaii for Peace Corp training and Qantas Airlines, Los Angeles for marriage, then finally settling in Lake Arrowhead in the early 1970's to raise her family.
MM brought a tremendous amount of love, humor, and happiness for family and friends (furry ones too!). She will be deeply missed, but we have tons of memories from all of her collectibles!
