Wichita, Kansas - Melinda "Mindy" Carmichael passed away peacefully on February 26th, 2021. She was preceded in her death by her parents, Myra and Virgil Archer, her son Chance Carmichael, and numerous pets who loved her dearly. Mindy was the type of person you would never forget. She was an engineer and worked all over the United States. Her last place of employment was working in Los Angeles for SpaceX. Along with being an engineer, Mindy worked many other odd jobs in her life. She was a baker, t-shirt maker, a talented English horseback rider, animal whisperer, computer genius, and an artist. Her most rewarding job was being an incredible mother to her children. They were her absolute world. She could not have been more supportive of them. She is survived by her son Cole Carmichael, 33, daughter Robin Carmichael, 31, ex-husband Dan Carmichael 66, dogs Louie and Ladybird, grand-dogs Leonard and Raleigh, and grand-cat Silverbells. Services will be Friday, March 5th 2021 from 1-5 pm at Park Villa in North Riverside.
