This fine woman meant a great deal to me and our Assistant News Director John Wright. Sen. Daniels authored a bill commending KFDI News for the work we did covering the Andover tornado in 1991. I'll never forget John and I standing before the State Senate in Topeka and hearing what Norma had to say about what we did. I interviewed her a number of times for news stories as John did and she always had a beautiful smile on her face. What a wonderful lady. I like to think she's now with my son Jeff.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Daniels Family as she will be dearly missed by her family, friends and by area elected leaders. She was such a good friend to all the communities in this area but especially the towns she represented when she was in the Kansas Senate. Her great legacy will carry on for years to come!!! Thanks for starting the ALARM organization which is now SCAC - Sedgwick Co. Assn. of Cities.

Such a stately lady. So much fun to be around. One of the best memories is the one of the teachers and friends of Valley Center High School taking a bus ride to Kansas City to see the KING & I at Starlight Theater...spending the night at the hotel and laughing and having such a good time.
She will be missed by many but we are so very glad to have had her touch our lives.
Prayers and blessings to the family

Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. I will never forget Norma's kindness when I was sick with a migraine. She and Doc met us at his office on a Sunday morning to help me out. Goes to show, behind every great Doctor there is a great nurse! Norma was a very classy lady, and a very gracious person. We will miss her smile!

I was saddened when I read that Norma passed away. It has been many years since I last saw her, but I have thought of her many different times. I lived in Valley Center with my Aunt Opal Jones and cousin Jimmie Brucker in 1958-59. I was a sophomore when I met Norma and Dr. Daniels. I was fortunate to babysit several times for them. I'm not sure how many of the children at that time, maybe 4 or 5. Norma was so kind and caring to me at that time. We often had little talks about dating, and how important it was to have God in my life. When I got married Norma sent us a beautiful glass Canister set make in Italy. To this day I use it and thats been 46 yrs. this month. Norma was a very special lady. She will always be in my heart.

I am the daughter of Bud and Jackie Westerfield. I went to Dr. Daniels since I was very very young. He even made house visits at that time. If you knew Dr. Daniels, you knew Norma. Later his daughters would work in the offices. It is with deepest love that I send my sympathys to the family. Dr Daniels, I especially want to thank you for picking this wonderful woman as your life long companion. We all loved her too. There are few words to say at a time like this, but, someday we will all be reunited with our Jesus Christ, and loved ones. Until that day, we must love each other and be there in Christ's name.

May the Lord watch over you and keep you safe.

A beautiful wav to listen to.
Remember Dr Daniels when you chased me down the street to give me a shot! HaHa. I was only about 5 - 6 yrs old. Norma told me to wiggle my toes and the shot wouldn't hurt. I have done this all my life. She was a incredible woman.

As a young teacher and coach, I found Norma Daniels to be the type of parent that I eventually came to realize every parent should be modeled after. She was always in attendance at her children's events and quick with a word of encouragement for a young coach. The Daniels' home was open to me at anytime for a listening ear, advice, and a piece of red velvet cake. I will always remember Mrs. Daniels' strength of character, positive outlook, ability to manage time, pride in her community, and commitment to her family. I am greatful for the years I spent around her. She left a lasting impression on me.

Grandma was an amazing role model for her children and grandkids. My favortie memories are summer trips to wal-mart everyday, grilled cheese sandwiches she would bring to me when I was watching cartoons, and getting into mischief with my cousin Chris ~:)! LOVE YOU GRANDMA!

My favorite memory of Aunt Norma is when our family would go on vacation "way out in Kansas". When my brother and I were little, our family summer vacation was going to Uncle Bob and Aunt Norma's house. we loved everything about our vacations. From playing basketball with cousin Jeanne to going swiming with cousin Patty. My favorite memory is when Aunt Norma took us to the fire house. Although I am very saddend by her passing, I am also at peace knowing Aunt Norma is in a better place and in no more pain.

Norma served the citizens of Valley Center and the State of Kansas with integrity, care and grace! I learned so much about how to treat the public by working for her on the senatorial campaigns. My family's thoughts and prayers are with you "Doc" and the rest of the family. God Bless You!
