Norman Hedges Obituary
January 31, 1929 - November 9, 2024
Andover, Kansas - Norman Leon Hedges of Andover, passed away November 9th, 2024. He was born in Wichita, KS on January 31st, 1929. He graduated from Ponca City High School. He was married to Esther Knotts-Burt in 1987, with whom he greatly enjoyed his later years. Norman was a professional musician primarily playing the saxophone and was a proud member of the Naval Musician Association. He retired from a position in sales from Hartwell Corporation in 1998.
Norman was preceded in death by his wife Esther.
He is survived by his two sons, Rodger of Webster, FL (Pamula) and Alan of Manchaca, TX, (Rebecca); his grandson, Austin of Austin, TX, his great- grandson Jackson; and his step children Lynda Burt of Council Grove, KS, Connie Pryor (Sam) of Derby, KS, Susan Richardson, (Kent) of Wichita, KS and James Burt of Springfield, MO. Eight step-grandchildren, 15 step-great- grandchildren and 4 step-great-great grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are by Affordable Cremations Plus, Wichita, Ks.
