October 12, 1917 - July 15, 2021
Wichita, Kansas - Norris, Robert "Bob" P. M.D., 103, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 15, 2021. Bob was born on Oct. 12, 1917 in Enid, OK to Pearl and Robert Norris of Whitewater, KS. Bob married Geraldine "Gerry" Hendrickson on May 31, 1942, in Wichita, KS. They celebrated 75 wonderful years of marriage. Bob and Gerry were longtime members of East Heights Methodist Church. Bob attended Wichita schools and obtained his medical degree in 1943. After returning home from military service, he and four other doctors joined the Wichita Clinic in 1948 where he practiced Internal Medicine until his retirement in 1986. Bob was active in several community organizations throughout his life, including the American Red Cross, the Downtown Kiwanis Club, the Scottish Rite and Midian Shrine. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Mildred, and his loving wife, Gerry. Survivors include Rick (Twila) Norris of Wichita, Karen (Arden) Miller of Lawrence, Ken (Cindy) Norris of Derby, 7 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Services pending, Lakeview.

One of my parents best friends and every time I saw him , it brought me joy . He was one of the kindest men I ever knew and had the deepest voice and smelled of cigars. He has joined his wife, the Shellito´s , my parents( the Warren´s, the Whites and many , many friends who are now having a riotous , loud, hilarious dinner party just like the ones they shared in each other´s homes.
