Robert Zehring Obituary

Zehring, Robert "Bob" W. 64, Owner of EZ Electric, Inc. since 1990, passed away suddenly on February 24, 2016. He was a devoted husband, father, uncle and grandfather, who loved muscle cars and car shows. Bob took pride in his career and loved helping people and became friends with many. A day relaxing for him was mowing and trimming his yard. He is survived by his wife, Karen; daughter, Mindi; son, Jeremy; brother, Mike; sister, Pam (Ed) Mills; five grandchildren; five nieces and nephews. He will truly be missed. Visitaton 12-8 p.m. Tuesday, with family receiving friends from 6-8 p.m.; Memorial Service 12 noon on Wednesday, both at DeVorss Flanagan-Hunt Mortuary. Memorial contributions may be made to The Alzheimer's Association or Cowley County Humane Society.

I was one of Bob's residential customers and first became acquainted with him and his expert work at Warren theatres, where I managed. Bob was one of my favorite people and helped me out at home many times. I am going to really miss him. Rest in Peace, Bob, and may you find comfort in the Lord.

I will miss you Bob! Was so saddened to hear of Bob's passing. Condolences and prayers go out to the family. He was a great guy! He has done work for Omni over the years and I was able to talk with him as he came through, being the receptionist. So glad I saw him a few weeks back as he came by to check on work being done. Uncle Bob has always been a bigger than life character to me. How could such a small man know so much? When he smiled, I smiled. When he laughed, I laughed. Everything about him was contagious. So many people knew him for his jokester personality, including me and he made more people happy that I think he even realized. Every time I saw him he had a life lesson or theory to teach me and I clung to a lot of his advice. I hope I can touch as many peoples lives as Bob did. My heart will never be the same without him, and I hope wherever he is right now, he is either giving someone advice or making them laugh because he was so good at both! I love you dearly Uncle Bob.

Bob was a long time friend as well as boss and mentor. He helped me through some difficult times of my own. He's the only employer I ever had that thanked me as he handed me my check. All our great times at Salt Plains on company trips. In truth, I think of him a lot as I still drive his 2000 black and pewter GMC pickup. I never named the truck. I think now I will call it Bob
