Wichita, Kansas - Ron Dean Howard, 67, passed away on July 20, 2021 in Wichita, Kansas. He was born in Wichita on September 20, 1953 to Quinton Eugene Howard and Betty Lou (Downing) Howard. He is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his amazing wife, Terri (Stucky) Howard; 2 sons; 1 daughter; 4 brothers; 1 sister; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 23, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Central Community Church.

Ron came to our house when he was campaigning. He was one of the most friendliest and knowledgeable guy you would have ever wanted to meet.
I was very sad to hear the news on the TV about Ron. I just couldn't imagined what happened. He was so full of energy.
I know he's in a better place now away from any pain.
I will keep his family in my prayers.

Dear friend, Ron, you will truly be missed by our family Randy, Sandy, and Aleyah Jones. Ron has inspired us and has been a true Christian friend. Ron and Aleyah have been very good friends for several years. He showed her and inspired Aleyah to learn how to speak up with her voice in our state government. His example and inspiration for our great state of Kansas along with his excitement to be able to show and teach Aleyah, are memories that she will never forget and treasure. She was so blessed having him as a mentor! Aleyah was also blessed to have Ron show her and teach her in unforgettable experiences in letting her come help our state legislature. These experiences will be treasured! Our memories of Ron showing her and teaching her that every voice should be heard in our great state while Aleyah was his paige in Topeka in 2018 and 2019. We were looking forward to have this honor and this opportunity again. Room and Aleyah had already planned and couldn´t wait for the next time they could work together again in Topeka. He spoke with Aleyah and said her Paige request was on his desk waiting till Covid restrictions were lifted so he could submit the request for her to come again. All of this would never have happened if Ron hadn´t been so involved with our community and neighbors. He has been a good neighbor to us and a role model to our family and Aleyah. These unforgettable memories that we made will always be held dear to us. His inspiration for making Kansas a great state will be remembered by us forever. Because of Ron, Aleyah had so many unforgettable moments like meeting Governor Kelly and other state representatives. Ron was always excited to have Aleyah come to our state capital and Aleyah was always so blessed to have him invite her to come and paige. This is such an experience that Aleyah will always treasure! There are no words we can say that can truly express how our family will miss him. We are comforted knowing that he is truly an angel and watching over us! Ron has touched many people with his kindness and inspiration. Terry, bless you and know that Ron has a special place in our hearts. Aleyah will always have Ron´s friendship and memories of all the great things and opportunities he gave her and us. God bless his family! Ron will never be forgotten by our family Randy, Sandy, and Aleyah Jones. We lost a very inspirational friend but we know that he is with God watching over us. As Ron would say... "God bless you and if you need anything let me know!" An inspirational friend was lost but we know he is an Angel watching over us!! Till we meet again!
