Wichita, Kansas - 82, went to be with the Lord on October 27, 2021. She was born to John and Emma Meyer on March 4, 1939, in Herington KS. Ruth was a loving and devoted wife to Ray Simpson for 57 years. Her faith, children and grandchildren were the joy of her life. She is survived by husband, Ray; sons, Mark (Julie) and Mike (Amy); six grandsons and one great-granddaughter. Other close family are sister, Aleda Koepke; sister-in-law, Pat Paul, and Ray's daughter, Jan Bishop. Her legacy of unconditional love for others will continue to have a significant influence on those that knew her. Visitation, 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 2, at Downing & Lahey Mortuary West. Funeral Service, 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 3, at Risen Savior Lutheran Church. Interment will immediately follow in Maize Park Cemetery. Memorial established with Risen Savior Lutheran Church, 6770 E. 34th St. N., Wichita, KS 67226. Downing & Lahey Mortuary West. Tributes via www.dlwichita.com

I was so saddened to hear of Ruth's passing. She truly was a wonderful, sweet, and remarkable lady. I know how much she will be missed by eveyone that knew her.
