Sara Baxter Obituary
April 30, 1936 - March 1, 2023
Wichita, Kansas - Sara Frances Baxter of Wichita, KS died March 1, 2023, at 8:30 p.m. She went to be with the Lord after a short illness. Sara was born April 30, 1936, in Anniston, AL., to Willie Edgar and Doris Daisy Simpson. She earned her GED and attended college business courses at Wichita State University. She was married to Delton Baxter in Wichita, Kansas on July 2, 1954. She worked as the Business Representative for the Retail Clerks Union and the local Bakers Union from 1970 until she retired in 1994. Survivors include her son Ronald; son John and wife, Bonda; grandchild Adam and wife Jennefer; grandchild Tiffany and husband Eric Carter, including great-grandchild, Zoey; grandchild Kristofer and wife Brittany, including great-grandchildren, Coraline, Miles, and Hannah; grandchild Karrie and husband Drew; sister Nancy and husband Grover Denlinger; brother Ray; brother Joe; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband and parents. Funeral service is 10am, Monday, March 6th at Resthaven Mortuary Chapel. Sara was loved by her family and friends and her memory will always be carried in our hearts. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Boys Town, PO Box 8000, Boys Town, NE 68010.

John and Ron, I´m so sorry to hear of your family´s loss. Can´t imagine how proud she was of both of you. John, for you and Bonda to be able to return home to be close to her, must have filled her heart with joy. Judy and I will be praying for your Mom and your family.
