Augusta, Kansas - Sherman Burt Parry, Jr, 76, of Augusta, Kansas passed Saturday, February 7, 2026 in Phoenix Arizona. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta, KS. Immediately following the service, a celebration of life is at YaYa's, 8115 E 21st St N., in Wichita from Noon to 2:00 p.m. Burt was born in El Dorado Kansas on March 23, 1949 to the late Nina June Parry (Swan) and Sherman Burt Parry, Sr. of Augusta, Kansas. Burt successfully relaunched 02 Corporation in 1986 until his son, Tray assumed responsibilities in 2020. Burt enjoyed his involvement with his son including Boy Scouts of America, the Striker (soccer) Organization, and their shared joy of Jeep excursions and hiking. He would strategically plan for golf tournaments and loved a good tailgating party prior to a K-State Football game. Traveling was one of his passions, spending his retirement years traveling to Europe and all the national parks west of the Mississippi River with his wife in their RV. Burt was always making new friends everywhere, and he kept his fraternity brothers from Alpha Kappa Lambda fraternity at K-State very close to his heart. He is survived by: his wife, Peggy Case; son, Sherman Burt "Tray" Parry, III (Shelly Ebberts); brother, Rodrick Parry; sister, Gail Coggins; (Danny); nieces, Charlotte Golka (Josh) and Shana Jennings (Travis); daughter (Harper); step daughter, Alex Case-Cohen (Wes Porter); granddaughters, Parker Ebberts and Seylah Porter; and Mother to Tray, Sharon Parry.
