I didn't find out about Verna's death until yesterday (March 17) -- sorry to miss the memorial service. Verna always had sympathy for those in need. She showed much compassion to many people. I will miss her encouraging words.

I SO loved this woman she was a pure joy to know and when we moved away from the Newton/North Newton area we kept track of each other by way of my birthday cards to her and her replies to me. Initially, we met through Elliot (Regier), but continued on after he was gone. She became a role mode to mel for aging with grace and activity! 103 wow!
