Warren Tanner
June 5, 1934 - November 18, 2021
Wichita, Kansas - Warren Tanner died peacefully at 87 after a long illness. He was born and lived his entire life in Wichita. He was laid to rest at the Old Mission Mausoleum near his parents in a private ceremony.
Warren was the 2nd of four children of Homer and Vera Tanner of Wichita. He graduated from Wichita State University with a BS in Accounting and went on to a successful career in accounting including being the CFO of the Law Company. He was also in the Army Reserve and was an active member of First Methodist Church until his health kept him at home the last few years. He had four sons and six grandchildren.
He was survived by three of his four sons and one brother. He lived by the mottos "work first then play, if you're going to to a job to it right, rules are for other people, always live below your means, and a meal is not complete unless you have dessert." These rules served his sons well.
