Dutton, Wendell D., 78, retired Wichita Police Dept. captain and Bank IV chief of security, died Aug. 14, 2007. Visitation 5 to 8 p.m. today and 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday; service 3 p.m. Saturday, all at Epworth United Methodist Church; graveside 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Lerado Cemetery, Langdon. Survivors: wife, Verna of Mulvane; sons, Larry of Austin, Texas, Dennis of Wichita; brothers, Maurice of Waco, Texas, David of Benbrook, Texas; 7 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren. Memorials with Epworth United Methodist Church. Livingston Funeral Home, Kingman.

Wendell was a great person and a wonderful step-father/grand-father to our family. His generosity, outgoing spirit, and his never-ending smile always brightened any room he entered. He will be missed by us and we will always be grateful and blessed for having him in our family. God Bless.........
