William "Bill" James Baker
February 7, 1941 - March 14, 2023
Katy, Texas - William "Bill" James Baker, 82, was born on February 7, 1941 in Wichita, Kansas. He passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2023.
He is preceded in death by parents C.J. and Loretta Baker and sister, Colleen Greer. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Betty; son James (Anna) Baker of Wichita and daughter Amy (Mark) Sanders of Katy, Texas; brothers Richard of Wichita, and David of McPherson; 2 grandsons and 3 granddaughters.
Bill was a life-long resident of Wichita until 10 years ago when he and Betty retired to Katy, Texas. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was a member of Olivet Baptist Church, Wichita and Parkway Fellowship Church in Richmond, Texas.
No service is planned at this date.
Funeral services held under the direction of Schmidt Funeral Home, Katy, Texas.

Bill and I, were first cousins. I remember when I was a little girl, I called him Uncle Bill, and his Navy Uniform. He had a lot of interest in family history, and genealogy, it runs in the family.
