Wichita, Kansas - William D. "Bill" DeVore, 87, passed away on December 19, 2023. He is survived by his wife, Alta; daughter, Jennifer DeVore of Seattle; son, Ross W. DeVore of Wichita; stepson, Steve Cooley and wife, Sarah of Arlington, Texas; stepson, Joseph Hayosh and wife, Marcy of Westland, Michigan; grandchildren, Logan Cooley, Brooke Cooley, Madeline DeVore, William Henry DeVore, John DeVore, and Alisa Hayosh; niece, Ashley DeVore of San Francisco, California; nephew, Rich DeVore and wife, Mimi of Wichita. Viewing from 3:00-5:00 pm, Wednesday, Dec. 27 at the Cozine Life Events Center. Funeral service at 11:00 am, Thursday, Dec. 28 also at the Cozine Life Events Center. Burial will follow at 2:00 pm at Wichita Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established with Wichita-Sedgwick County Historical Museum and Humankind Ministries. Bill was a great guy. He was a successful business leader, and a true patriot. He epitomized all that is good in our country and community. I had great respect for him. RIP, Bill.
