Agnes Louise (Cogswell) Ely, 74, of Olathe, Kansas passed away Thursday, December 21, 2006 in Olathe. Funeral mass will be held at 10am on Wednesday, December 27, 2006 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Tuesday at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, Olathe Chapel where a rosary will begin at 7:30pm. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens. The family suggests contributions to the American Cancer Society. She was a graduate of J.P. St. John's High School in Olathe. She married Robert Cogswell December,1952 (who preceded her in death in 1966). In December,1971 she married Alfred Ely who also preceded her in death in March of 1990. She was Senior Commercial Property Appraiser for Johnson County Kansas retiring in 1992. She then went to work part-time for Olathe Medical Service Inc. serving in Dr. William Matthews's office for approximately 10 years. She is survived by her five children; Jim & wife Barbara Cogswell of Gilbert, AZ, Phil & wife Theresa Cogswell of Olathe, Dave & wife Dwonne Cogswell of Fort Smith, AR, Brian & wife Karen Cogswell in Nicut, OK, and Linda & husband Raymond Sheldon of Olathe, KS, stepdaughters; Carol & husband Kevin Morris of Overland Park, KS and Patricia & husband Tony Higgins of Aurora, CO, and her sixteen grandchildren; Eric, Chris, Leah, Katie, Terry, Kyle, Haley, Breck, Grayson, Dawn, Beth-Ann, Jennifer, Stephanie, Peter, Matthew, and Logan.
