Andrew Ganzer Obituary

Andrew W. Ganzer, 93, passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2005, at St. Joseph Health Center. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, March 22 at D.W. Newcomer's Son's Floral Hills Chapel, friends may call at the chapel from 6-8 p.m. Monday, March 21, 2005. Burial will be in the Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Andrew was born November 8, 1911, in Lee's Summit, Missouri, and was a lifelong resident of Jackson County. He was a member of the Community of Christ, Grandview Branch, was a painter and interior decorator for area local contractors. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Ganzer; brother Roy Ganzer; and son-in-law, Richard Bignell. Survivors include his daughter, Carolyn Bignell of Dayton, Ohio, sister Esta Fitch of Independence, MO; two grandchildren, David Bignell and wife, Mary; Susan Bignell; two greatgrandchildren, Jacob and Kelsey Bignell; two nieces, Rosalyn Gray and husband, Roy; Linda Thompson and husband, George; nephew Don Ganzer and wife, Lynn. Mr. Ganzer painted the interior of our home in Grandview,and mixed the colors of the paint to perfection to obtain the shades we wanted,I was so impressed.I have never met a kinder man..a truly gentle soul.

He also was a true craftsman of his trade..God that we could have more people like him on this earth.
