Anita Hohnecker Obituary
Nita had a giving heart, whether she was volunteering at church or the local animal shelter, helping at the American Legion Auxiliary and Elks Lodge, or lending time and talents to The Theatre and The Arts. Her efforts touched many lives, including all her friends and neighbors she cared for like family. Her spirit will continue to shine in the community she so dearly loved, as she left a little sparkle wherever she went.
Nita's daughter will treasure and remember Mom's unique laughter, strength, wisdom, culture, compassion, and dedication. Grammy used to tell her grandkids "I love you to the moon and back," whenever she saw or spoke to them; cherished words that will live in their hearts forever.
Memorial service will be held at 12:30 p.m. November 8, 2025, at West Lake Christian Church, 936 Hwy O, Gravois Mills, MO 65037, followed by celebration of life.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to Caring Hearts Dog & Cat Rescue, PO Box 981, Laurie, MO 65038.

I am so sorry to read this news. Cecilia, I remember you and your Mom from Cherokee Christian Church. I am so sorry for your loss! She loved you and your children very much and was so proud of all of you!
