Anna McNeil Obituary
May 30, 1932 - September 24, 2022
Overland Park, Kansas - Anna Marie (Accurso) McNeil, longtime resident of Independence, Missouri, passed away September 24, 2022, at the age of 90. Anna spent the last four years living at Atriums Senior Living Community in Overland Park, Kansas.
Anna is survived by her daughters, Susan Kathleen Hood (Scott) of Leawood, KS, Allison Anne Steinbeck (Robb) of Lee's Summit, MO, and beloved grandchildren, Alex Hood (Riley), Addison Hood, Andrew Hood, Caylee Steinbeck, Jack Steinbeck, and great grandson Maxwell Ryan Hood (son of Alex and Riley). Anna also is survived by her brother Vincent Accurso (Maria) of Kansas City, and numerous nieces and nephews. The family also wishes to recognize Anna's caregiver, Ambria Craven, who provided kindness, love and compassion to Anna and her family during Anna's final years. Anna was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, James A. McNeil.
Her children's wish is for all who knew her to take time to honor her life, and cherish time with their own family and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, September 30, at Nativity of BVN Catholic Church, 10017 East 36th Terrace South, Independence, MO, 64052. Visitation will precede the service, at 10 a.m., at the church.
